Santa Cruz!

This sign says it all.

The Kim Son Buddhist Meditation Center
Peaceful, reflective, welcoming

Breathtaking

My New GPS
"Go up the hill just past the boarded up Mt. Madonna Inn and turn left.  At the 4-way stop at the big redwood tree go straight."
My kind of directions.

The advantages of getting lost

Checking out job opportunities

I even found a home.  Needs a little work.

  3. Love the meditation center! The weather looks great too.
Better leave the house alone though, you only have one week off you know!

    1. Donna: A lot can be done in a week, i.e Notice of Resignation, U-Haul reservations...
Teresa: I like your perspective. What time can you be here and what tools can you bring?
Gary: It just needs a good coat of paint. Remember, the key is location, location, location!

  4. I am so happy you have finally found Freedom. Living in Freedom is even a greater blessing, and it looks like you are ready to settle in by finding a job and a house. Although that house looks more like bondage than freedom. Oh, and having to go to work inside a building when the view is so beautiful outside, doesn't sound like freedom either. You are just going to have to retire independently wealthy and find a better house. Get back in the car, you got more searching to do. I would stay near freedom though, that looks like a good place to be. Love you Sis.

  5. Love the house, although it reminds me of the focal point of a reoccurring nightmare I had over several years in my late teens, early twenties. If it has a rickety stairway to a dungeon and unfriendly ghosts - THAT's IT !! Your house appears on a hilltop tho, mine was on a dead flat plain, so you're safe! The house reappeared in a nightmare in my 30's, but it was attached to a renovating theme and located, in that dream, in San Diego. Go tell. Still, I do love the house. Wonder if it's in any better shape than the little yellow one in Escondido? Looks like it's about to topple...

Envy, in a good way, your freedom and the connections with others you are making. Inspiring. Thanks for sharing as you step out of your comfort zone and re-view the world around you. So glad the trip is good. Love, Laurie

  6. I think this is your nightmare house! It is on a plain, and it about to topple! The clerk at the hotel who has lived nearby for 30 years said that people have seen ghosts there! Sleep well... Love your comments Laurie. Fun trip! But getting tired of driving. Wish I had a ghost to take over! Love, Me
